I have known Channabel Latham Morris since March of 2018. We met at the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia’s Vision Zero Conference, where Channabel was the opening speaker. Her son, Jamal, was killed while cycling in Philadelphia, and my daughter, Emily, was also killed while cycling there. Together we formed Families for Safe Streets, along with other families who lost loved ones. Channabel’s compassion, drive and kindness is so important to all of us. She is the ultimate speaker and motivator, and she honors her son with every word and action. I am blessed to know her.
